Cookies and storage
Trip Caddie sets no cookies of its own. It stores a few things in your browser instead. Here is every one of them, and the switch for the optional one.

Your choices
Strictly necessary
Always on, and no switch, because without these the site cannot do what you came for. Keeping you signed in, keeping a guest in their trip, and remembering this choice.
Referral measurement
Lets a member see how many people opened their share link, and credits them if you sign up.

There are no cookies
Trip Caddie sets no cookies. Nothing on this site writes to document.cookie, and there are no advertising, analytics or tag-manager scripts anywhere in it. We use browser storage instead, which stays on your device and is never sent as a header with every request the way a cookie is.
The law treats browser storage the same as cookies. Regulation 6 of PECR, and the EU ePrivacy Directive, cover anything stored on or read from your device. That is why the one non-essential item below is behind a switch rather than just described.
Strictly necessary storage
These deliver something you asked for, so they need no permission and are not behind the switch above. Each one is listed with its real key name so you can check it in your own browser.

If you say no, the site works exactly the same. The only effect is that a member who shared a link with you will not see your visit in their count, and will not be credited if you go on to sign up.
Third parties that see your browser
Two things on the site are loaded from another company's servers, which means that company sees your IP address when your browser fetches them. Neither stores anything on your device.

Clearing it yourself
You can wipe all of it from your browser settings, under site data for https://tripcaddie.co.uk. Two things to know before you do:
- You will be signed out.
- If you use a trip through a private link without an account, you will need to open your link from the original email or message again. Clearing site data removes the token that keeps you in the trip.
Blocking storage entirely also works. The site handles it: we treat unavailable storage as no consent, and nothing optional runs.
